As you can see from my blog, I don't do the assignments in order.
I do them in order of interest.
I may have already looked at something ahead of schedule (like
Rollyo) and dismissed it (like
Rollyo).
Yes, will get around to doing the Rollyo assignment, but I think it's a waste of time quite frankly. I wasn't impressed with making your own search engine. Mainly because the ones I happened to try were worse than useless. I looked at a search engine for classic books, and used "Plato" as the search tern and got NADA.
The only engine I thought was worth the bother was
Brian Greene's (the physicist) search engine for superstring theory.
Rollyo is not going to make me give up
Google anytime soon.
However, I enjoyed
Library Thing and am in the process of creating my online library for your viewing pleasure. (As soon as they get the site running again, that is, I'll get back in and show you all my nifty books.)

Edited to add: Okay, I did the Rollyo assignment. I got the search roll set up - look under "Harry Potter" by gvillageidiot.
I still think it's pretty useless as far as internet items go.
I also did the Library Thing assignment - take a look!
